陈忠实《白鹿原》是作家陈忠实所著的长篇小说，于1993年首次出版。

Two Families in Fifty Years is a novel written by Chen Zhongshi, first published in 1993.The novel takes Bailu Village on Bailu Plain in the Guanzhong area of Shaanxi as a microcosm.
By telling the feud between three generations family of the two families of Bai and Lu, it shows the historical changes of more than half a century from the last years of the Qing Dynasty to the seventies and the Eighties of twenty century.
In 1997, the novel won the Fourth Mao Dun Literature Prize in China. The novel has also been adapted into various art forms such as the film with the same name, TV series, drama, dance drama, Qin Opera and so on.
